  1. Cut both rounded ends of the popsicle stick, then divide into small rectangular pieces

  2. Draw a quick sketch to outline the doors and windows

  3. Cut along the marked wood section

To cut tiny details, you can use a craft knife instead of pruning shears. Firstly, Use the tip of the knife to gently score the wood, then carefully separate each small pieces one by one.

Although this method is a bit tricky for beginners, it allows you to adjust these tiny details more precisely.

  4. Repeat the process with other pieces

  5. Assemble these wooden pieces together to form a house

  6. Use knife to thin down the wooden stick

*Tips: When using knife, rememer always cutting away from yourself. Hold your materials firmly and never let your fingers in the path of the blade. Keep blades sharp because a dull blade requires more force and is more likely to slip.

  7. Gently bend the thin wooden sticks at a right angle into windows and door frames

  8. Carefully attach them to the house

  9. Stick 2 triangular wooden pieces to both sides of the house

  10. Glue the wooden sticks in place to create the structure of the roof frame

  11. Cut the paperwood into thin stripes

  12. Cut these stripes into tiny pieces to simulate tiled roofs

  13. Attach these tiled roofs in each rows until cover all of the roof frame

  14. Add fences to the house

  15. Attach small wooden piles to the bottom to form a stilt house

  16. Use tweezers to stick tiny pieces into a stair

  17. Tile the woodboard (10 x 10 x 2 cm) with popsicle sticks (1 x 11.5 cm)

  18. Place the stilt house on the woodboard

  19. Add fences around the house

  20. Repeat the process of making the stilt house, but this time you need to assemble a smaller one

  21. Place it next to the stilt house

  22. Use tiny sticks to make a miniature trellis

  23. Decorate the entire model with artificial trees and greensward

  24. Make a gate from thin wooden sticks

  25. Attach the gate to the model

  26. Add some final touches to the house and finish!

Congratulations! You’ve crafted a charming miniature countryside house that fits in the palm of your hand. Though it is small in size, the model is still perfect for adding beauty and character to any space. You can also follow other models on FOBIRD!
